Friends of the Library

Who are the friends?

Friends is a community-based volunteer organization devoted to the enhancement of the Texas County Libraries. Friends provides help in two specific areas: funding and public relations. All proceeds from selling “gently used” books and other fundraisers are given to the library to help support it’s needs. Donations and volunteers are always encouraged and welcome! All donations are tax deductible. If you are looking for a way to help your community and have some fun in the process, volunteers are WANTED!

Licking FOL

Licking’s Friends run The Book Nook; a used bookstore located in the Texas County Museum run by volunteers. They have used their proceeds to enhance Licking’s branch with new handmade shelves, chairs, maintenance on the building and the gazebo that sits outside! They also provide funding for children’s activities at the library. Interested in becoming a Friend of the Licking Library? Contact Brandie Smith at 573-674-2038.
